Even though work has been super super busy for me, I did create some new invitations suites for my Zazzle store... :)
Hope these will get some sales!

I've been scouring the internet for a dress for our pre-wedding photoshoot and I think I've found the one on Anthropologie :)
Kingston Road Dress by Anthropologie - USD$228
It's a tad pricey but if it's gonna be for the wedding, I don't mind forking out a lil more...plus it's not too dressy which means I can wear it out as often as I like!

The crazy work period of dec-mar is ending soon and I can now focus on planning our wedding. Though many things have been confirmed, we still have not chosen a date yet and we need to do this pronto!
We were planning to get married in late August or early September 2012 before we were facing these obstacles:
Eid falls on 19th August - so there is no way we can do an August wedding. September will be our only choice because people would be busy visiting in August.
The Singapore Grand Prix will be held in September - Okay as much as I detest the F1 coming to Singapore, it helps boost this country's economy. I tolerated the road closures and the crowds during this period and was never really affected directly by the event until now. We were planning to have the reception at my favorite place in Singapore, the Asian Civilisations Museum but it was smack dab on the F1 belt and the venue refused to let me book the room until dates for F1 2012 were set. ARGH! They told me I could only book it 6 months prior to the day which, is really a tad to rushy for me. :(
I really really hope the F1 dates for 2012 will be posted by Jan 2012 so I can quickly book the venue. We had some alternative venue choices but we've got our heart set on ACM. We'll just have to wait and see, I guess.

December is fast approaching!!! This means EVERYONE is a busy bee at work. The festival is in January and I am in denial.
Where did the year go?! My stationery business will have to take a backseat during this busy period. I might put my etsy on vacation mode but I'll churn out more holiday photocards and custom envelopes before I go on hiatus. The brisk sales from my Zazzle store is really motivating me to design something every day :) I hope the sales will keep coming in because I'm saving up for a holiday in Bali in April, as soon as the crazy period in the office is over! *crosses fingers*
IN OTHER NEWSSSSSS....
I did a lil bit of online shopping which is one of the best things ever I swear. Firstly, who doesn't like shopping? Secondly, I LOVE receiving packages in the mail, it's like opening a present that you know you will love! haha!
ASOS is having free shipping to anywhere in the world (it's usually GBP 10.5) so I decided to do some click clackin around...
I got myself a roomy black bag perfect for work at a not so scary price tag! 51% off retail price :)))
I got this French Connection Stitch Zip Top Bag and I love it! It's roomy so I can put my A4 documents in there. It's not heavy or weighed down with metal embellishments so that's good. The bag's not leather but the quality isn't so bad. I've used it for 2 days now and so far so good. It's starting to grow on me :) Usual retail price was GBP 75 and I got it for GBP 37. I think I got the last one cos when I had it in the cart, the red 'sold out' text appeared on the page when I went to look at it again. Lucky me!
Last week, I burnt a hole on this lovely ruffle sleeve teal top from Mango. It was such a lovely blouse I was really pissed at myself for not realising the iron was too hot for silk. ARGH! I still feel crappy inside whenever I think about. I love ruffle sleeves because I don't have skinny arms and the ruffles hide my flabby flip flappin arms. haha!
I saw this mink top in the petite section and I had to have it. I love the nude colour. love love love! GBP 26 was a bit steep for a top but I was still angry at myself for destroying the teal top and I needed a replacement pronto. The eyelet swimsuit on the right was a steal cos I brought it the next day when ASOS had a 20% off on their range. I got it for GBP 17!!! What.a.steal. I had to have it. Zahir kept asking me to go to the beach with him but there is no chance in hell am I gonna wear a bikini. My body is NOT bikini ready. I needed a suit but it's so pricey everywhere...most of them were above $60 and those are the basic plain boring ones :P
Oh and I gotta say, ASOS shipping is surprisingly fast! My order was dispatched on the 19th and it arrived on 25th even though shipping was supposed to take 10 days :)

I must admit...I've been rather uninspired lately. It's starting to get extremely busy at the office as we approach the year end and the first quarter of 2011 will be madness. I wish I could have the luxury of free time to create designs and plan our upcoming wedding. After a whole day of staring at the computer screen at work, all I want to do when I get back is rest and spend time with my loved ones. I am in the middle of a two wedding projects right now and I'm trying my very best to complete it but I'm never satisfied after each draft and I find myself starting all over again many times :(

Thanks to the low USD recently (and currently!), my colleague and I decided to go on a retail therapy on Amazon. The books came recently...look at what I got!
My new books!
Eyewitness Companion Guides: World History & The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Presents Earth (The Book): A Visitor's Guide to the Human Race
oh hai Jon!
Can't wait to go through this! I love informative books with gorgeous pictures and illustrations

I fell in love with her voice when I first heard Volcano by Damien Rice. Zahir introduced me to this song and I love how happy it is cos Volcano was such a heartbreaking song.

I am in love with the gorgeous jewelry by Elva Fields especially the multi-strand vintage inspired necklaces. They've got fun, jewel-tone coloured beads to soft hues of blush pink with pearls...I am especially in love with this one, the Grace Kelly Green which is already sold out! I love the deep green shade and the striking vintage brooch.

Maybe it's because Zahir and I are on the waiting list of a new flat...but I've been salivating over the beautiful furniture on Horchow. In 6 days, we will both know if our application is successful. I CAN'T WAIT! GAH! I believe there are 500+ units available and more than 2000 applications. Sigh. What are the chances? Zahir's been thinking positive but I just have this terrible feeling that we won't get it. It's just too good to be true. I hope I'm wrong.
Enough of that...let's now drool over these lovely rooms...

These are two of some of the note cards which I have in stock. I've had these printed MONTHS ago but I haven't packed them nicely to sell. I will soon! These are vintage illustrations of butterflies are printed on 4.25" x 5.5" 100lb cover-weight felt paper, a warm, buff-toned sheet with an embossed finish that feels like fine art paper and comes with matching envelopes.

Irma, twenty-something, Singapore.
I love anything whimsical & kitschy. Some of my favourite things include organic food, home & decor magazines, dark chocolate, charmingly strange folks, dinner parties, the roaring twenties and period films.
